Military Discounts on Cell Phones: Save on Monthly Bills

It’s difficult to imagine a world without our cell phones. We are now more dependent on them than ever before — for business, entertainment and so much more. Luckily there are military discounts on cell phones with many major service providers. We’ve gathered a list of all the companies that offer discounts to the military community.

At Tmobile, active-duty military and veterans get the best discount on their Magenta unlimited plan. It’s 50% off family lines. Plus, 5G access is included at no additional cost. Their Magenta Military and Magenta MAX Military plan are available for customers with eligible military status and their families. It includes active-duty military, veterans, National Guard, Reserve, and Gold Star family members.

The military customer must be the primary account holder and the account must maintain a valid military line. T-Mobile for Business customers are eligible up to 12 lines; however, government accounts are not eligible. No Credit Check and Prepaid customers are not eligible.

Verizon offers military personnel an unlimited plan from $95/month for 2 lines. They can get all the basics with unlimited talk, text, and data. This means they don’t ever have to worry about overage charges again. This plan is originally 74.50/month, but is offered at $60/month for military personnel.

Play More Unlimited

Verizon’s Play More Unlimited Plan is the best for music and video streaming with millions of songs. HD and premium data are included. This plan is 57.50/month with the military discount. Originally, it’s 70/month per line.

Do More Unlimited

When productivity is a top priority, Verizon’s Do More Unlimited Plan is the best option. It comes with premium data and a discount on a connected device plan. For military personnel, the plan is 57.50 instead of 70/month per line.

Get More Unlimited

With the Get More Unlimited Plan, military personnel can enjoy the ultimate performance with extra features. With the military discount, the plan would be 67.50 instead of 80/month per line.

AT&T offers plans for military personnel starting at less than $27/month per line when you get 4 lines.

U.S. Cellular

U.S. Cellular shows their appreciation to military members and veterans by offering a 15% military discount on their wireless plans. The discount can be applied to calling plan charges on individual single line and/or family plans. To qualify, you must verify your military status on their site.

Xfiniity Mobile

Xfinity Mobile offers military service members a $25 Xfinity coupon. It allows military personnel and veterans to use the coupon toward their next Xfinity On Demand rental or purchase or as a credit toward their bill. All military service members who signed a minimum term agreement within the past 30 days before Dec 31, 2021, receive a special $100 Visa prepaid card as well.

Cell Phone Providers with Military Deployment Plans

Boost Mobile

Boost Mobile offers a special deployed military program. Military personnel are able to keep their accounts and phone numbers while deployed overseas. No service charges will be incurred and they won’t be subject to any reactivation fees when their accounts are restored.

Cricket accommodates active duty military, reserves, and the National Guard when they are called overseas. If active military personnel can’t take their Cricket service with them, they can hold their phone number for up to 36 months. When they return, they have up to 90 days to resubscribe to the cell phone service.

Spectrum Mobile

Although Spectrum Mobile does not offer military discounts, they do offer benefits to military personnel who are deployed. They are able to reserve their phone numbers for up to 3 years after canceling their service. If they return to the U.S. at any time within the 3 years of canceling their service, they can reactive their saved phone number. Reconnection and activation fees will be waived. However, normal installation and equipment charges will apply.
